What happens if my item does not fit?

Please give us a call to arrange an exchange. We will happily exchange any items for change of mind up to 60 days after purchase. Please note that you will be responsible for covering the cost of return freight. You will also be responsible for any postage charges that may apply for the new item (based on our postage rates for new orders at the time of making the exchange).

Do you offer finance?
Yes! We offer finance from Flexirent and Certegy. Requires applicant to be an Australian resident working 30 hours or more per week. Please come in-store to find out more. 

How do I know if this part will fit my bike?
The compatibility on MTB parts can be complicated. First, check out the "specifications" tab on each product page. If you're still unsure, at the bottom of every product page you will find “Ask a Question about this Product”, which takes you to a form where you can submit a question about a specific product to our knowledgeable staff. You can always give us a call too – +61 7 3891 7561.

Can I cancel/change an order?
Yes, if it hasn’t been shipped yet. Be aware that we ship orders ASAP, so please phone us on +61 7 3891 7561 during opening hours to modify your order. If you need to contact us regarding an order change on a Monday (when our shop is closed), please e-mail us at stock@fortheriders.com.

Can I order an item that’s out of stock?
Sometimes. We allow pre-orders for items that are on order from our supplier, (e.g. when a hot new DVD is due to land soon). You'll know if this is possible when you see a "Preorder" button, instead of "add to cart". Simply follow the order procedure as normal, and we’ll ship it out as soon as it arrives! For other items, you can either choose to be notified when it is back in stock, or place an enquiry with our team and we'll see if we can order it in for you.

How can I check the status of my order online?
You can follow the fulfillment status of your order from the My Account section of our website. After your order has been fulfilled, a confirmation email will be sent to the email address you provided.

Can I place an order from a foreign country?
At this stage, ForTheRiders only ships to Australia and New Zealand.

What forms of payment are accepted?
We accept MasterCard, Visa and PayPal.

Do I need a PayPal account? How do I pay with a credit card?
PayPal is our payment gateway provider. After clicking “Pay with Visa, Mastercard or PayPal”, you will be able to select your method of payment. To pay with a credit card, select the option on the left hand side (and you don’t need to create a PayPal account). If you do have a PayPal account, then you also have this option.

How do I redeem a gift card online?
If you're the lucky owner of a ForTheRiders.com gift card, you'll be happy to hear you can use it in store, or online! And it's a very simple process:
  • Browse around to find the items you would like to purchase.
  • Once you're at the checkout stage, you'll have the option to enter a Gift Certificate on the "Review and Submit" page
  • Enter the 9 digit alpha-numeric code that appears on the back of the card, at the top left of the card.
  • Hit apply and finalise your purchase!

Is my credit card and account information secure?
All credit card payments all go through PayPal. This means we do not even see your credit card details. PayPal are the world’s largest payment provider and are secured by VeriSign’s 256bit SSL encryption. So your credit card details are super safe.

How secure is your website?
It’s great to be able to check out a huge range of awesome MTB products on the web, right? But what makes the ForTheRiders.com website rock is that in just a few minutes, you can go from lusting over that new frame to having our team responding to your online order and packing it up to send it to you. Sweet. To fully enjoy the online shopping experience, it helps to know that we offer 100% safe, secure shopping. What's your position on privacy?
We want you to be able to peacefully cruise around our site, check out products and reviews, buy things, interact with us – without worrying about your privacy and personal details. So here’s the deal.

Mmmm, cookies. Ok so cookies are little text files that heaps of websites use to make things easier and more enjoyable for return visitors to their sites. The small text file is stored on your computer and helps the ForTheRiders.com website recognise if you’re a repeat visitor. It only stores information you provide or data on choices you make on our website. It doesn’t store other information about you or your computer. So for example, a cookie can store your login details, on your computer, so when you jump on our website you don’t have to enter you details each and every time (very handy if you are part of our loyalty program, so you see your prices at your personal discount level all the time).

Do you track user’s IPs?

Each customer's computer uses an IP (Internet Protocol) address when they are online, which is logged by our server. We use your IP address to identify your web site use, assist in the ordering process, help diagnose any problems with your order and our server in general, and to gather broad demographic information such as visitor numbers.

Will you SMS me for marketing purposes?
No. ForTheRiders may SMS you to notify you of something, such as an order shipping, or a workshop job ready for collection, but never for direct marketing.

What information do you gather about customers?
ForTheRiders.com gathers information about our customers from the usual places:
  • Shopping cart order forms
  • My Account contact profile update form
  • Online surveys
  • Giving your details to our sales/workshop staff
  • Promotional contests
  • Newsletter registration form
  • Social ride registration form

The information we obtain from you is used for these purposes:
  • To process send the stuff you ordered
  • To contact you about your order
  • Surveys and contests help us figure out what our customers want and how to serve them better
  • If you win a comp, we use your contact details to let you know
  • If you opt in to our mailing list, we’ll send you interesting MTB-related stuff and information on our products and promotions
  • If you opt in to hear about social rides, you’ll find out when and where we ride each week.
