As one of the original 29er bike manufacturers, Niner are quick to solve potential reasons not to get on one of their lovely big wheel steeds.
Whilst cross country and trail riders 6 foot and over have been making the shift to 29ers for some time now, shorter riders have been a little slower to make the jump - and handlebar height has been a key contributing factor with this.
As the larger 3" wheel diameter forces the handlebars (and therefore hand position) up, it has been difficult to get shorter riders in the correct race position. The Niner Flat Top carbon bar helps with this.
It is the first MTB handlebar designed with a drop (all others are either flat or a riser). It is flippable too, so you are welcome to run it at + or - 5mm. On top of all this, its just a really nice bit of kit, clean, simple and light - much like the rest of Niner's lineup really....
Carbon-tuned for increased ride quality/comfort. Featuring a 9º sweep
and 710mm width with cut marks down to 650mm. Carbon bars also feature a
new ± 5mm rise/drop, via an offset bulge in the bar’s center section,
for another way to get a great fit on your bike. Available in 4 color
options that match both Niner frames and non-Niner products.
Quality of this product is very important to us. Flat Top 9 carbon
bars are covered by Niner’s new C5 warranty program, our way of saying
that you can be confident in our carbon design and testing.
Additionally, claimed weight is consistent with actual weight.
