The Mavic EX721 is a rim built for extreme mountain biking which strikes a balance between strength and weight. Tough enough to take the hits whilst light enough to win races on the Pro Downhill circuit, these are a downhill racer’s go to rim.
Made from Mavic’s exclusive alloy Maxtal, which is used throughout their high end rim lineup and is 30% more resistant than a 6106 aluminium alloy. The rim joint is arc welded and milled smooth for a super strong joint and well balanced rim. 28mm wide to fit big tyres with single eyeleted nipple holes to keep the weight in check. These are for use with clincher and tube tyre systems and are also compatible with rim brakes.
